City is the largest and the most populated city in the New York State and the broader United States. It is also referred to as the capital of financial, cultural, and media aspects in the world. New York hosts the headquarters of the United Nations, and as such, has been considered significant in the technology, tourism, entertainment, and research aspects, among others.
New York City is conveniently located on one of the largest natural harbors of the world, at the point where the Hudson River drains into the New York Bay and then into the Atlantic Ocean on the Eastern Coast of the United States. The city is made up of five independent boroughs, namely Manhattan, Queens, the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Staten Island.
Manhattan forms the core of New York, and apart from having quite a dense population, it is a major financial, cultural, and commercial center.
