The city of Los Angeles, commonly known as L.A., is the most populated city in California and also as one of the largest cities in the United States. It is home to an intricate and sophisticated cityscape with modern architectural buildings and designs. In Southern California, Los Angeles is a major financial, cultural, and commercial hub. It is also the center of the film and television industry in California and its environs, with its iconic and outstanding Hollywood signage. Famous studios like Universal Studios, the Paramount Pictures Studios, and the Warner Brothers studios, among others, are found here in Los Angeles. On Hollywood Boulevard Street, enjoy the displays of the handprints and footprints of the Walk of Fame celebrities by the TLC Chinese Theatre.
Apart from the entertainment industry, inside the Getty Center, beautiful layouts of natural gardens are open to visitors to tour and relax in. The gardens feature American and European themes extensively. From the Griffith Observatory spot, not only is it possible to enjoy watching the Lakers and Clippers take on their basketball games, but the entire skyline is also visible panoramically, making it one of the best spots from where to see Los Angeles.
Water activities are even better with the numerous beaches around Los Angeles, including the famous Venice that is known for its colorfulness and availability of shopping opportunities, as well as the Santa Monica Beach with a pier for various gaming options and rides. For musical entertainment, Sunset Boulevard is lined with venues that provide entertainment. For a taste of high-end shopping and classic treats, Beverly Hills is famous for that, among other things like the Rodeo Drive.

When to visit Los Angeles

Los Angeles is an all-year-round destination. The city enjoys weather that is warm, mild, and quite tolerable. However, in the period between July and October, the temperature gets hotter, albeit within an acceptable range. For memorable events, Los Angeles holds many regular film festivals and other cultural events. In June, especially, the Los Angeles Film Festival is celebrated amid a beautiful showcase of talent. Outdoor concerts are frequent during summer across most venues in L.A., as well as episodes of the film screening. In February and March, there is celebrated the Academy Awards, which attracts participants from all over the world. Around the same time, Los Angeles holds its annual L.A. Marathon for the lovers of the noble sport.
