The ocean temperatures are approximately 60°F (15.6°C), and swimming is pleasant both in the ocean and the lakes - there are many places like Sawyer Rock and Emerald Pool that offer an escape from the crowds of spots like Hampton Beach. New Hampshire swells with tourists during the summer, and some people prefer to visit during the fall when the foliage is brilliant!
