Weather in November
is the last stop of the fall season in Delaware
as the weather changes drastically. The temperatures subside rapidly, and cold fronts from the north become frequent. The average temperatures register between a cold 39°F (3.9°C) to a warm 59°F (15°C). The southern and eastern part of the state still has mild weather.
The rainfall is in the 3" (76mm) to 4" (102mm) range, but November rarely receives measurable snow. The harvest season ends with the arrival of the cold winter, but there is plenty in store, including apple ciders, pumpkin pies, and tasty wines. Sunny days become increasingly rare, and the sunlight averages a daily 4 hours.
November sees dwindling tourist numbers with the arrival of the cold weather. Expect cold fronts to hit the state and cause a dip in temperatures for short periods. Wear a jacket in the breezy but cold evening conditions. November offers budget travelers a chance to visit the pristine beaches of Delaware under moderate conditions and cheap costs.
