Tallahassee, the capital of the state, which lies in the Florida Panhandle, sees average temperatures in the 42°F (5.6°C) to 68°F (20°C) range. While Jacksonville is within 45°F (7.2°C) to 68°F (20°C) range in the north, Disneyland in Orlando is much warmer with 52°F (11.1°C) to 74°F (23.3°C). An average of 8 hours of sunshine usually adorns the state in February with slightly more humidity in the south. Snowfall is scarce even in the peak of winter except for a few areas up in the northern part of the state. Be cautious during the early morning commute as early morning fog is prevalent in many areas up north with the incidence of sleet and frost during the passage of cold fronts.
