Dallas is among the top ten most populated cities in the United States of America. It is located within the state of Texas and is currently serving as the seat of the county of Dallas. Dallas is the third in population density in Texas after Houston and San Antonio. With portions of the city spreading into the counties of Rockwall, Collin, Kaufman, and Denton, Dallas is currently number four in the largest metropolitan areas in the entire country.
As the main cultural and commercial hub of its region, Dallas has numerous tourist attraction spots and outstanding architectural structures, featuring both ancient and modern designs. The Old Red Museum is one of the ancient buildings, stunning in its red stones and marble designs, which is also used as the Dallas County Courthouse and also called the Old Red Courthouse. Other new structures include the Dallas Fair Park of educational and recreational complexes, the iconic, modern American Airlines Center, and the contemporary NorthPark Center that features vast and intricately structured high-end shopping malls and stalls.
Dallas also features a vibrant arts industry, with numerous works of art from before and today stored away in museums and recreational centers for the public to see. The Dallas Museum of Art, the iconic Crow Collection of Asian Art, and the ultra-modern Nasher Sculpture Center are but some of the places frequented by lovers of artistic masterpieces.
Visitors like to frequent the Reunion Towers, an iconic skyscraper at the heart of Dallas, where stunning views of the city can be enjoyed.
Outdoors is enjoyable in Dallas. The State Fair of Texas also brings people together for family-themed fun and activities every year. Nearby, the famous vast Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens offer more fun and activities across its many naturally-planted, beautiful gardens.

When to visit Dallas

Dallas experiences a humid subtropical climate of Köppen classification Cfa, with a close border on the continental climate, characterized by its wide ranges in annual temperature. The weather is primarily characterized by extremely hot and humid summers, mildly cool to cold winters, and short but varying springs and autumns.
Summer can be oppressive, with the temperature going as high as 102.2°F (39°C) on average on the hottest days, coupled up with ten plus hours of hot sunshine! Heatwaves may be experienced, and visitors are advised to be armed with protection from the extreme sunburns that are imminent.
Winter is cool to cold, with the mercury ranging between 37.4°F (3°C) and 57.2°F (14°C). The days may occasionally feel a lot warmer than registered, as winter experiences periodic weather variations. Generally, snowfall is very minimal, usually melting away within hours.
Dallas is an all-year-round tourist destination, and it registers moderately steady visitor traffic throughout. However, the number rises between September and October, as summer ends and autumn sets in. This period has the best weather for outdoors as the summer scorch cools down considerably, and the days are warm, pleasant, and moderately dry.
The most significant event in Dallas, the State Fair of Texas, also happens to be held around this time. It features a month-long period of fun in the fair, with the high rides and auto shows, amid great feasts in the vast food scene. The festival attracts millions of people from across the world.
