Dallas, one of the largest cities in the US State of Texas, has a humid subtropical climate (Köppen climatic classification Cfa). This climate is characterized by scorching summers and mild winters and is majorly influenced by the position of Dallas on the shoreline of the Gulf Coast. The weather is moderately continental and has considerable annual temperature variations across all seasons.

Spring and autumn are lovely, and both have tolerable weather. Spring is particularly attractive due to the wildflowers blossoming across the entire Dallas. During spring the weather can occasionally be volatile and highly varied, but the temperature is pleasantly warm and tolerable. During autumn, the weather is steadier and has no extreme hazards. The fall brings spectacular golden illusion throughout Dallas and makes autumn one of the best times to visit.

Summers are hot, with the mercury stretching to the range of 65.5°F (18.6°C) and 96.4°F (35.8°C). Humidity, though, is lowest during summer. Warm and dry winds received in summer, together with up to nine and a half hours of sunshine sometime make the weather feel like that of desert and semi-desert locations. Occasional heat waves experienced during summer are severe and very hazardous. Summer receives the least rainfall of the year, and the UV index goes as high as ten.

Winters are mild and tolerable, and the temperature hardly goes below the freezing point. Periodically, sudden cold waves cause the temperature to drop slightly below the freezing point, albeit briefly, causing the hazardous freezing rain. Other than that, snowfall is rare during winter, and the rainfall is mildly low. The temperature stays in the range of 37.2°F (2.9°C) and 60.8°F (16°C).
